Youth Community Impact Fund

We are thrilled to share about a new initiative created within the Waseca Area Foundation in 2025 called the Youth Community Impact Fund (YCIF). This Fund exists because of the generosity of Scott Martin (a Waseca native) who generously supported the idea of getting young people involved in philanthropy. The first student Board was created through an application process at the Waseca High School in the Fall of 2025. The board is made up of students in grades 9-12.

The mission of this board is to encourage and support community projects that are created and completed by youth of all ages.  The grants submitted must be from non-profit organizations that involve youth. In addition, the grants must be youth-written and youth-driven. Examples of eligible groups are: Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, 4-H, School Clubs/Groups, etc.
